Support to find a service

This resource is designed for Territorians to navigate the NT mental health and related service system.  It has been compiled by people with lived experience and is current as of the date printed at the bottom of the resource.

The resource will be periodically updated and improved so please remember to check back at this page. If you have suggestions for how this resource can be improved or have found an error, please let us know by emailing contact@livedexperiencent.net.

DOWNLOAD the NTLEN Service Navigation Resource (current 22 September 2022).

Note also, to date we have mapped in detail Darwin based services.  It is our intention to do the same in other regions of the NT.

Supports for Family and Carers

This resource was developed for our Circles of Support program.  It lists NT and national services that can provide support specifically for the family and carers of people who experience mental health and/or alcohol and other drug issues.

Disability Royal Commission

The Disability Royal Commission was established in response to community concern about widespread reports of violence, abuse, neglect, abuse and exploitation of people with disability.

People who have experienced mental health challenges, trauma or alcohol and other drug issues (as well as their family members), are invited to provide a submission to the Royal Commission if they have experienced violence, abuse or neglect.

In the NT there are several organisations that are providing support to people to make a submission, as well as providing legal advocacy services and emotional support through counselling.
